Academic writing is hard enough without spending hours fighting Microsoft Word's formatting. ScholarFormat exists for one reason: your style guide should be a tool, not a tax.

We support APA 7, MLA 9, Chicago 17, Harvard, IEEE, AMA 11, Vancouver, and a basic implementation of Bluebook 21. Citation imports from CrossRef, OpenAlex, PubMed, Semantic Scholar, and your Zotero library are coming next.

A note on Google Scholar, Mendeley, and ResearchGate: they don't offer public APIs (or only restricted ones). We integrate stable academic databases that cover the same material — CrossRef and OpenAlex together index over 300 million scholarly works.
